Passive Fire NZ Earns FPANZ Certification: Setting a New Benchmark for Passive Fire Protection

It’s a good day in the office when we receive the notification that a new certification has been issued – and July 16 2025 is one of those days! We’re proud to announce that Passive Fire NZ is now officially a FPANZ Certified Passive Contractor.

We go above & beyond every day in our drive to be NZ’s highest performing and most certified passive fire solutions company, and this stamp is a signal that the hard mahi is paying off. 

Not everyone has this mark, but it’s important, it shows that our crew always meet the highest benchmarks in compliance, competency and workmanship, under independent verification.

The Fire Protection Association New Zealand (FPANZ) is the country’s leading authority on fire protection. It supports industry professionals through training, certification and advocacy, and plays a key role in raising standards, ensuring code compliance, and improving fire safety across Aotearoa. FPANZ certification is a recognised mark of quality, professionalism and technical expertise within the building and construction sector.

One of our team values is “a thirst for learning” and this sort of accreditation, from an industry authority, really sums that up as it is assessed based on Continuing Professional Development, “beyond any initial training or industry qualifications achieved” (as cited in the FPANZ assessment process). That’s above & beyond in our books!
