When thought goes into design, planning and usability from the start, you can see the difference, and you can’t not see Okham’s latest build – Kōanga!

We were stoked to be the passive fire sub-contractor on Kōanga, in collaboration with Marutūāhu.

A modern complex with studios, one- and two-bedroom units, sitting right by Great North Road, Oakley Creek reserve and cycleways into town. It’s a bold yellow beauty lighting up Waterview with some serious wow factor.

From curved balconies inspired by kete weaving, to a colour palette drawn from pingao grasses (our favourite shade of yellow, BTW), every detail reflects people, place and purpose.

Working on jobs with such imagination, pushes us to think even smarter about solutions. That signature curved brickwork meant custom fire seals and collaring to fit cleanly and invisibly around complex finishes. No shortcuts. All up to code, done with care.
